An explosion occurred in a chemical plant in Kestel district in Turkey's western province of Bursa today (October 12). While one worker has died in the explosion, six workers have been injured.
Speaking to the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA), Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat has said that according to initial reports, it is estimated that the explosion happened as a result of an acid entrapment at the factory.
As reported by the AA, Governor Canbolat has said that the teams have set off for the scene of the incident, announcing that the explosion has claimed one worker's life and wounded six others.
While some of the wounded have been severely wounded, there are also15-20 workers who have been mildly affected by the gas have been receiving first aid at the scene of the incident, the Governor has noted. The Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) teams and security teams have been reportedly still working in the area. (EMK/SD)
