Moreover, the event called "Conversations with Graduates," which the Mechanical Engineering Club of the university was going to hold for the fourth time this year, was also cancelled after an order was issued by the university administration. No reason was stated for the cancellation.
Saymaz did not attend the event
In a statement published by the members of the Labor Security Club, it was announced that İsmail Saymaz, who was also one of the speakers of the event, did not come to the university in protest against the decision of the university administration.
The student clubs of Labor Security, Social Sciences and Mechanical Engineering published separate statements and protested the İTÜ Presidency by saying, "There is censorship at the İTÜ." (TS/TP/SD)
