Given by the European Museum Forum (EMF), prestigious "European Museum of the Year Awards" have been granted to the Troy Museum in Çanakkale and Odunpazarı Modern Museum in Eskişehir.
According to a statement made on the social media account of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism yesterday (May 6), the laureates of the awards granted every year by the European Museum Forum, which is supported by the Council of Europe, have been announced.

In the competition that could not be held last year due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, the museums that have been granted the awards for 2020 and 2021 have been announced on YouTube.
While the Troy Museum in Çanakkale in western Turkey has received "The European Museum of the Year Award" for 2020, the Odunpazarı Modern Museum in Eskişehir has received "The European Museum of the Year Award" for 2021. The Bayburt Kenan Yavuz Ethnography Museum in eastern Turkey has also been granted the "2021 Silette Award".
