Hadiye Dur will be paid his compensation for getting beaten and tear-gassed when 42 “Peace Mother” and she were trying to meet with the authorities at the Motherland Party’s (ANAP) District Branch and for being subjected to more violence and insults in the Police Department where she spent the night on October 27, 1998. She will be paid 9534 euro.
The ECHR dismissed Dur’s other application for the investigation of the police office F.M.S. on the grounds that the complaint was not investigated in sufficient detail.
Mahfuz Türkan, who was taken into custody and manhandled on July 5, 1998, while working at the tea house of the Eserler Bus Terminal, won his case for the same reasons, too.
