President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has spoken at “AK Party Symposium on 16th Year of Its Ruling” held in ATO Congresium by the Politics, Economy and Society Research Foundation in capital Ankara.
In his statement concerning TRY’s loss of 40 percent value in 2018, Erdoğan said, “Today our country has one of the strongest banking systems in the world”.
“We will impose boycott on US’s electronic products”
Erdoğan said they will impose boycott on US products: “We will produce better versions of each product that we import with foreign currency. We will boycott US’s electronic products.
“If they have iPhone, there is Samsung on the other side. There is Venus, Vestel in our country. May they understand what we are going to do. We will be self-sufficient. We will produce what we don’t have”.
“You’re Turk, you will march with Turkish Lira”
Erdoğan warned those who invest in foreign currency: “[We will be saved if we invest in foreign currency], this won’t happen. You bankrupt if you do so. You are Turk, you will march with Turkish Lira”. (HK/TK)
