The President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan targeted CNN Türk’s Anchorwoman, Nevşin Mengü. Erdoğan gave a speech in Coacher Federation of Turkey’s General Meeting and brought Mengü’s twitter dialogue with a follower forward.
The president said:
"An anchorwoman, daughter of a former Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) deputy, couldn’t accept our meeting with coachers. She had fun with the presidential system and bus drivers and said ‘Holy Trinity: mukhtar, taxi driver, bus driver’. She holds a grudge, literally. Whom does she insult? The nation itself. These kinds of people don’t respect the election or the nation. Taxi drivers and bus drivers are people who earn honestly and are honorable citizens of Turkey.”
Erdoğan targeted quite a few female journalists such as Nuray Mert, Rengin Arslan, Selin Girit, Melis Alphan and Amberin Zaman before. (ÇT/BD)
