Erdoğan made the following remarks on the attack against Kılıçdaroğlu:
"We condemned the attack"
"The party administration of the CHP is different than our citizens who vote for the CHP. We openly condemned the attack.
"We object to the harassment of a martyr's relatives and the people of a district, we are against them being accused of being terrorists and insulted.
"We say, 'If you collaborate with the party guided by the terrorist organization, you will make our martyrs turn in their graves,' they show the incident as legitimization.
"My citizens in Çubuk are already hurt, you will harass them and make them equal with terrorists..."
"We remember it quite well that when a police officer fell martyr, CHP Chair said, 'Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.'
"We are not lynching anyone, we are defending the sacred memories of our martyrs. As if it was not them who allied with the party that said 'We lean our back against the PKK!', the CHP mentality is talking about the Kuvayi Milliye [Turkish Revolutionaries].
"I am not saying this, the man in Kandil says it. What does he say? He says, 'We will ally with the CHP.
'A struggle to save those voting for CHP from CHP'
"When it comes to the struggle against anything that is local and national, no one can hold a candle to the CHP.
"We know the ones who blew whistles during the call to prayer quite well. Our struggle is to save the ones voting for CHP from this distorted mentality." (EKN/SD)
