Michael Elliott, the editor of Time magazine, defended the Western leaders being out of list by saying that it was a worldwide list, that many Western European leaders were not in the list because they were not that much powerful and effective at that time.
In the list where Usame Bin Laden and Abu al-Zarkavi from Al-Qaeda also take place, some other names are follows: Businessman Bill Gates, Pope John Paul II, Norah Jones (singer), Nicole Kidman (actress), Sean Penn (actor), Rupert Murdoch (media boss), Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton.
