Erdoğan: I Wish American People’s Choice Contributes to Democracy

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has commented on Republican candidate Donald Trump being elected president of the United States.

Speaking at Independent Industrialists and Businesspeople's Association (MÜSİAD) EXPO and 20th International Business Forum Congress organized at CNR EXP Fair Center, Erdoğan said:

“As you know America went through an election. The Democrats in America passed on government to the Republicans after two terms. American people made their choice. A new term is beginning in America by this choice.

“I wish this choice of American people contributes to democracy in the world, and to taking steps in terms of developments in our region”. (EKN/TK)
