“Our new candidate who is going to enter General Assembly on 27 August is our brother Foreign Minister and Konya Parliamentarian Ahmet Davutoğlu. In case that he is elected in General assembly, he is going to be our 62nd PM.
“His effort and ambition in the struggle with “parallel structure” (he used this term for Gülen Movement) has an impact on his candidacy. I believe we will continue to struggle together. And my presidential position won’t prevent our struggle.”
Davutoğlu: Restoration will continue
After Erdoğan, Davutoğlu stated:
“AKP movement is not the political movement which emerged in cyclical conditions. Our distinguished President is the pioneer of this movement. Nobody should doubt that we will keep on struggling in a stronger way.
“AKP will prevent those under the name of “parallel structure” or any thing else who intend to stop our progress. Those who intend to create disagreement or hostility among us won’t succeed it.
“AKP is limited neither with generations nor with centuries. It is the struggle for judge and right with that will last until the end. I’m sure I gain my power with you. I ask you to walk together. No doubt that our big restoration movement is going to continue without stopping.” (EA/ÇT/MUY/BM)
