The territory of the curfew in force in 11 neighbourhoods of Sur district of Diyarbakır has been expanded to the remaining four neighbourhoods of the district as of today (February 3) 12 p.m. until further notice by the sub-Governorship.
The curfew declared has been announced on the official website of sub-Governorship as follows:
“Curfew has been declared by our sub-Governorship in Camii Kebir, Camii Nebi, İskenderpaşa and Melikahmet neighbourhoods as of February 3, 2016 Wednesday 12 p.m. until further notice to provide security of life and property of our citizens while carrying out works on closing the ditches and disposing bomb set-ups”.
With the last announcement, curfew has been declared in entire Sur with 15 neighbourhoods.
All curfews declared on Wednesdays
The curfews in the district have been declared in three steps.
On January 27, 2016, Wednesday, curfew has been declared in Abdaldede, Alipaşa, Lalebey, Süleyman Nazif and Ziya Gökalp neighbourhoods as well as Melikahmet Street as of 11.30 a.m. until further notice.

On December 11, 2015 Wednesday, the curfew declared in Cevatpaşa, Fatihpaşa, Dabanoğlu, Hasırlı, Cemal Yılmaz and Savaş neighbourhoods and Gazi street on December 2 Wednesday has been temporarily lifted for 17 hours until further notice.
