Turkey’s 13th President will be elected on June 24, 2018. If absolute majority is not constituted, then the second tour will be held on July 8, 2018.
15 Republican People’s Party (CHP) MPs, who temporarily resigned from the CHP and joined the İYİ Party so that it can enter the election, have returned to their party.
CHP Assembly Deputy Group Chairs Özgür Özel and Engin Özkoç have held a press conference about the 15 MPs who returned to the CHP.
“That day, everyone was worried whether everything would be the same. But now, there is hope in Turkey. Our friends are now returning home. Now mission accomplished, 15 MPs are back. I am thanking everybody”.
Erdoğan visited the BBP
1 p.m. – President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to the Great Unity Party (BBP) Headquarters and met with BBP Chair Mustafa Destici.
Making a joint press conference following the meeting, Erdoğan said that they are going to work in cooperation for June 24 election and added, “We’ve discussed how we can run a much more effective campaign”.
Destici said, “We are thanking Mr. Erdoğan for his sensitive attitude towards the BBP. We’ve taken place in this alliance for the survival of the state”. (EKN/TK)
