Turkey’s 13th President will be determined with the snap election to be held on June 24, 2018. If absolute majority is not constituted, then the second tour will be held on July 8, 2018.

Başak Demirtaş: My door is open to all candidates
Başak Demirtaş, the wife of Peoples’ Democratic Party’s (HDP) Presidential candidate Selahattin Demirtaş, said the following concerning main opposition party Republican People’s Party’s (CHP) Presidential candidate Muharrem İnci visiting her:
“Muharrem İnce will visit us. I will indeed host him with pleasure. If Mr. Erdoğan, Mrs. Akşener, Mr. Perinçek and Mr. Karamollaoğlu come too, my home’s door is always open to them as well.
“This meaningful gesture serves to strengthening humanitarian relations rather than politics”.
İnce has sued Erdoğan
CHP’s İnce has sued President and Justice and Development Party (AKP) Chair Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
İnce demands 100 thousand TL (19 thousand Euros) immaterial compensation due to Erdoğan’s words “You ask for permission from the same place…Pennsylvania [where Gülen Community Fethullah Gülen resides, who is charged with orchestrating the July 15, 2016 coup attempt]” he said in Kayseri public meeting.
Erdoğan: We’ve launched an offensive into Sinjar
President Erdoğan held a public meeting in Niğde. Erdoğan announced that the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) has launched an offesnvie into Qandil and Sinjar.
“Recall that I mentioned northern Iraq, Qandil, Sinjar. We’ve launched our offensive into there. We’ve destroyed 14 targets with 20 of our jets. 20 jets have gone, hit and returned”. (EKN/TK)
