Saying “Let’s build a new table and world where peace, justice, brotherhood, freedom come into existence,” Anti-capitalist Muslims gathered last night for breaking fast with unity and sharing. Water canon vehicles and police waited in the wings for the community eating on the tables they set on grass and making press statements, but no intervention took place.
“It is not a war between Judaism and Islam”
They gathered for “condemning the occupations and massacres the State of Israel has been conducting in Palestinian land since 1948, and to support Palestinian people for their fight against Zionizm and Imperialism”. In the statement, they stated “This is not a war between Judaism and Islam war; this is the war between oppressed Palestinian people struggling to survive and the Zionist, barbarian, killer, capitalist state of Israel trying to dominate the earth and slaughtering for this purpose.”
A support action for Palestine on July 13
The community adopting tolerance and equality principles ate adequately and equally on the tables they set up with help of each other, men and women.
They reminded 68 Palestinians lost their lives, more than 500 individuals got hurt and more than 900 individuals were arrested in last three weeks, during the attacks against Palestinian people- the people that resisted with their souls against occupations each time and demonstrated resistance to the oppressed people on the world. They stated in the proclamation distributed by Boycott Attempt against Israel for Palestine “ To enhance the solidarity with Palestinian people’s social forces is a historical mission for Turks believing in internationalist interdependence.” The community called the society for gathering in Tunnel with Palestinian flags, slogans of interdependence and placards on July 13, Sunday at 5 pm and announced a press release would take place in front of Galatasaray High School.
