Eagles of Death Metal has gotten on the stage first time after the Paris massacre, performed People have Power and I Love You All the Time after U2.
In the Paris attack which left 129 people dead, 89 people lost their lives in Bataclon where Eagles of Death Metal was performing. Eagles of Death Metal had announced in their written statement a week after the attack that they cancelled all of their concerts, and in their interview with Vice expressed that they want to give the first concert at Bataclan returning to Paris. |
Eagles of Death Metal was in Bercy quarter of Paris on November 7 at AccorHotels Arena taking the stage with U2.
Eagles of Death Metal taking stage first time after the attack have performed Patti Smith's song named People Have Power.
Those who died in the attack were commemorated in the concert, support messages were delivered to their relatives. At the end of the concert, t-shirts printed "We are not afraid, Paris" (Nous n'avons pas peur, Paris) were sold.
The second song the band played was "I Love You All the Time".
After the concert, the band sent greeting message to U2 on their official social media accounts.

Eagles of Death Metal will perform in Barcelona, Madrid, and Lisbon for three days as of November 8.
What happened in France?
Armed and bombed attacks took place in at least seven different locations in French capital Paris on Friday. The next morning, President Hollande announced eight attackers were killed, and at least 129 civilians lost their lives.
According to news agencies, the death toll exceeds 150. Armed attackers took many people hostage in Bataclan concert hall. It was stated that attackers killed 118 people during the rescue operation launched by police.
Explosions during the game
Three separate attacks occurred near Stade de France when friendly game for Euro 2016 between France and Germany was being played. One of the explosions reportedly resulted by a suicide attack.
Around 40 people lost their lives in the attacks.
Hollande was at the stadium at the time of the explosions. Hollande being securely taken away from the stadium announced that emergency rule has been declared in the country. (ÇT/TK)
