Didier Drogba released a photo of him on instagram with Nelson Mandela, South Africa’s recently deceased leader.
Recently, Drogba wore an underneath T-Shirt saying “Thank You Madiba” in one of the official games.
“Thank you all for your support. I am sorry but I would do the same if same thing happened again.
“I didn’t do this for political reason. I did this because Mandela not only inspired me but a country, a continent and the world. Thank you again, Madiba.
Galatasaray players Drogba and Eboue flashed their undershirts saying “Thank you Madiba” during an official game against Elazığspor.
Following the game, Turkey’s Professional Disciplinary Council (PFDK) launched investigations against the two players for their behavior. PFDK has yet to issue a ruling on the case. (YY/BM)
