A boat carrying migrants has sunk in the Aegean Sea, off the coast of Greece, leaving dozens of people missing, according to reports..
The boat has reportedly 60 to 80 people on board, and while Greece's coast guard was able to rescue 29 them, many are still missing, Kathimerini reported, citing Greece's coast guard. All of the rescued people were men and from Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran, it reported.
Rescue efforts are continuing with aerial support, Nikos Kokkalas, a spokesperson for the coast guard, told the state media. The boat sank off the Karpathos island, he said. (VK)
