Doğuş University has temporarily as a precaution suspended Prof. Dr. Serdar M. Değirmencioğlu signing declaration entitled “We will not be a party to this crime” of his duty as Head of Department of Psychology.
In the notice signed by Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdullah Diçkol, it has been stated that the decision has been made as a result of disciplinary investigation launched because of signing the declaration.
“As a result of disciplinary investigation launched into you for signing the declaration released by a group of academics; as you to be preventively suspended of your administrative duties at the university has been recommended by investigation commission, I respectfully submit to you that you have been temporarily as a precaution suspended of your duty as the Head of Department of Psychology”.
He had won reemployment lawsuit
Serdar Değirmencioğlu had won the reemployment lawsuit which he launched subsequent to being dismissed on October 24, 2013 from his work that he started on September 15, 2013.
The court had stated that the justification given for the dismissal was unlawful. (BK/TK)
