Police raided 15 houses towards the morning hours today (August 14). Nine people have been taken into custody during the raids including correspondent Deniz Nazlım from dihaber (Dicle News Agency).
On the other hand, ETHA (Etkin News Agency) reported that 11 people were detained. The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Mamak and Etimesgut district co-administrators are reportedly among the detainees as well.
According to dihaber, the names of the detainees, who are mostly administrators from HDP, are:
Deniz Nazlım, Dilan Çetin, Erkan Kara, İrfan Geçer, Yeliz Yıldırım, Yıldız Bahçeci, Laleş Ekmen, Engin Çevik and Mücahit Kaplan.
It has been claimed that there was an order to take journalist Nazlım forcibly to give testimony before the court. Technical equipment in his apartment was seized after a search.
The detainees have been taken to Ankara Security Directorate Anti-Terror Department. (EA/DG/LN)
