What had happened?
Beşiktaş sub-Governorship sent a notice for the Yıldız Palace Outer Post Building used as service building assigned to the Chamber of Architects to be emptied yesterday.
The chamber in its statement interpreted the demand which cannot be met in 24 hours as “forced emptying attempt with vengeance”.
The building was allocated to the chamber for 29 years with the protocol signed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2002.
Upon the nullification of the contract, the chamber brought lawsuit in administrative court for the suspension of the execution.
İstanbul 12th Administrative Court ruled to suspend the execution on March 8, 2016.
The chamber in its statement expressed that according to the decision whose notification is yet to be made of İstanbul Regional Administration considering the appeal, an opposite decision than the administrative court in subject has been taken.
The delegation of chamber representatives was detained today for objecting the decision. (NV/TK)
