Republican People’s Party (CHP) deputy Gürsel Tekin submitted an official inquiry to Vice Prime Minister Yalçın Akdoğan on the election result providers of Anatolia Agency - Turkey’s semiofficial media organization.
Reminding that AA’s results for March 30 Election had discrepancies with the results from other news agencies, Tekin asked Akdoğan questions regarding the alleged “250,000 data providers” from ballot locations and their firms as well as how much payment was made to these firms. He also inquired on the names of data providers.
What happened?
Following the March 30 Election, there were discrepancies between the results broadcasted by AA and Cihan News Agency with both agencies making statements that they were behind their results.
