Istanbul Governor’s Office declared that “locations for meeting and demonstrations” are defined, and it’s not allowed to hold any demonstration other than these places, by a declaration on its website.
The declaration precisely pointed out the addresses of the meeting places, the route of the marches, the return path, and besides the allocated areas for banners and placards.
Yenikapı coastal area
1st Demonstration Location: On Kennedy Avenue, towards to Yenikapı Direction by the traffic lights (900 m distant from the demonstration area)
2nd Demonstration Location: Inside the Public Park, in front of the A5 entrance
The Route of Marching: Kennedy Avenue
Demonstration Location: Yenikapı Coastal Area
The Return Path of the Meeting: Kennedy Avenue, Namık Kemal Avenue, Gazi Mustafa Kemalpaşa Avenue
Places Allocated for Banners and Placards: Upon the statements of Organization Committee, the banners and placards confirmed by Governorship of İstanbul shall be hanged on places that are approved by İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and District Municipalities.
Maltepe coastal area
First Meeting Place: On Atatürk Avenue, the area limited by Adalı Street and the head of the Bağdat Avenue (1100 m distant to the location)
The Route of Marching: Atatürk Avenue Entrance, Bağdat Avenue, Mimar Sinan Avenue, Turgut Özal Boulevard
Demonstration Location: Maltepe Coastal Area
The Return Path of the Meeting: Turgut Özal Boulevard, Rıhtım Avenue
Places Allocated for Banners and Placards: Upon the statements of Organization Committee, the banners and placards confirmed by Governorship of İstanbul shall be hanged on places that are approved by İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality and District Municipalities. (AS/CB/BM)
