Demirtaş: We Aren’t Below the Election Threshold

Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chairpersons have answered the questions of the press in the meeting after they published the election bulletin of HDP.

Yüksekdağ explained that how they would find physical resources and they would struggle poverty. She added that they would restrict the military and security expenses to set a budget.

Demirtaş said: “We are not below the election threshold but it is too early to say we pass it already,” over the election threshold.

“We have the motivation to pass the election threshold”

Upon the question over election threshold process Demirtaş said: “We have the motivation to pass the election threshold. It is too early to say we pass it already but we are not below the election threshold.”

“In order to allow the media to work freely, it should be revised the relationship between media bosses and politicians. Media workers must express themselves and write freely,” stated Demirtaş over the questions about the media accreditation.

“We will learn the results from Supreme Electoral Council”

“We call everyone for duty. We respect every vote from the ballot box. Public decision must overcome and we must secure the ballot boxes,” answered Yüksekdağ upon the questions about ballot box security.

Demirtaş added that they would have observers near each ballot box and reach the results via smart phone applications and documents with wet signature and they would raise necessary objections in case there would be difference. (BK/BD)
