Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, made an allegation against the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu who allegedly affected the judicial independence and led the judgement.
Selahattin Demirtaş appealed to the Public Prosecution of Ankara. The official complaint includes the press statements of Erdoğan and Davutoğlu.
1033 detentions
It was stated according to the official complaint that 1033 people have been detained during police operations since July 24, 2015 in 18 provinces of Turkey and there was no evidence against 125 detainees.
The official complaint of Co-Chair also included:
“As it is understood that each statement, each declaration of the President Erdoğan who is not objective since general elections period and behaves as if a leader of a political party is a clear instruction for the judgement. Moreover, both the President and Prime Minister expressed this situation clearly in front of cameras.” (NV/BD)
