Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş implied a coalition possibility with Republican People’s Party (CHP) yesterday in Hamburg on his journey through Europe for the election campaign.
5 thousand people attended Demirtaş’s meeting in DIMA Sport Center in Bergedorf, Hamburg.
Demirtaş answered the questions of press members and briefly said:
“HDP endeavors the most for peace”
“Disinformation attempts for taking votes have adverse effects. Pro-AKP media publishes false news, lies and defamations. However, public opinion knows that HDP is the political party which endeavors the most to stop clashes and the war.
“AKP is the obstacle in front of the peace”
“CHP, HDP and the people outside the parliament who side with peace and democracy should offer an alternative democratic government to the society. We shouldn’t think if AKP doesn’t come into power, there won’t be any peace. On the contrary, AKP is the greatest obstacle in front of the peace. That’s why, there is no need to be panicked when they are overthrown. AKP is already a government of war and clashes. Getting rid of that government benefits Turkey.
“Even one vote is important”
“Of course we care about voters in Germany. We care about all voters in Turkey not just in Germany. Each citizen has right to determine the future of politics. Thus, we value even one vote of our citizens. Even a number of Member of Parliament may change and affect the parliament’s arithmetic. Voters abroad have the power to change the number of deputies.
