Search efforts have turned to its 10th day for the 18 (presumably dead) miners trapped inside a mine located in the central district of Ermenek, Karaman.
“We are looking for our workers in the very depths of the mine,” Energy Minister Taner Yıldız told the press yesterday.
It has been noted that 3 quarters of the entire water was evicted from the mine and 2 thirds of the trail was open.
“We can easily say that there is a management error here if we can prove that the water ran from the adjacent mine. In order to do that, we need to see how mines are connected to each other,” he continued.
Yıldız also added that they would most likely to detect the workers by a DNA test.
On the other hand, 17 minor children of the aforementioned miners trapped inside started a psychological support by 12 counsellors.
The credits debts of trapped miners’ families to the local businesses have also been postponed for three months. Public Inspection Institution also launched an investigation on the workplace murder. (NV/BM)
