Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu has announced Action Plan of 2016 of 64th Government.
Reforms to be made in one week
Davutoğlu said the reforms which don’t require legislation will be issued by decision of Council of Ministers within a week at the latest.
The reforms are as follows:
* Firstly, decision of Council of Ministers will be issued
* A committee will be formed to monitor the reforms
* 16,000 euros (50,000 TL) financial support will be provided for youngsters in exchange for projects
* Interest free credit up to 33,000 euros will be provided for youngsters
* Scholarship and credit of 100 euros given to undergradute students raised to 130 euros
* 20% support to marriage portion account of youngsters to encourage marriage
* 9,000 euros of interest free credit to artisans
* Support to those whose size of enterprise is smaller than five decares growing fruit, vegetable, ornamental plant, aromatic plant. Support to farmers for modernization.
Reforms to be made in 3 months
Davutoğlu listed reforms to be made in three months as follows:
* Minimum wage will be increased to 410 euros.
* All retired workers and retired Social Security Organization for Artisans and the Self-Employed (Bağ Kur) workers will be given 375 euros.
* Social support bonus won’t be cut from pensions
* Cuts will be removed from those receiving emolument of aged 65
* 30,000 new teachers will be appointed in February
* Monthly salary of headpersons (mukhtar)* will be raised to 410 euros.
* Security service compensation of police officers will be increased by 25%
* Salary of military soldiers will be 130 euros
* Turkish Standart Institution (TSE) costs of firms will be met by the state
* Working women will be able to work part-time for two months for one child, for four months for the second, and fors ix months for the third.
* Internet access will be provided to an extent to poor families
* Unlicensed buildings will be provided electricity on condition of undergoing urban transformation
* Computer and animation games aimed at children will be encouraged. (NV/TK)
