Database of LGBI Rights to be Prepared

Kaos GL is preparing a database as part of “Project of LGBTI Individuals Monitoring and Reporting Human Rights, and System Development” for data related to discrimination fields, torture, ill-treatment, right to live, hate crimes to be entered.

With the project, it is aimed that monitoring and reporting data going back to 10 years will entered in the database. By means of this database, it is expected to provide data for LGBTI organizations in different cities, human rights defenders, academics, researchers and journalists.

Advocacy activities aimed at human rights mechanisms of the European Union, European Council and United Nations are intended to be carried out within the scope of the project. Thematic reports on LGBTI area will be prepared for the rapporteurs to visit Turkey in 2017. (ÇT/TK)
