Curfews imposed in Turkey’s southeastern Cizre, Silopi, İdil and Central districts of Şırnak have been lifted.
The curfew declared on March 14, 2016 lasted for eight months. Şırnak Governorship announced to have lifted the curfew.
The Human Rights Association prepared a report
A committee of nine people from the Human Rights Association (İHD), Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TİHV) and Diyarbakır Bar prepared report of their examinations in Şırnak on March 28, 2017.
In the report, the right organizations expressed that the residents have been heavily traumatized due to the curfews and demanded the destruction in the city be ended. (NV/TK)
