The curfew ongoing since December 11, has been lifted in Gazi Street of Sur district of Diyarbakır. The curfew maintains in six neighbourhoods of the district.
Sur District Governorship has published the following statement on the official web page of Diyarbakır Governorship:
“The curfew declared on December 11, 2015 as of 4 p.m. in 6 of the 15 neighbourhoods in our district Sur (Cevatpaşa, Fatihpaşa, Dabanoğlu, Hasırlı, Cemal Yılmaz and Savaş neighbourhoods) and in Gazi Street to maintain public order, provide security of life and property of our civil citizens during removing the barricades constructed by the terrorist organization in street alleys, closing the ditches and disposing bomb set-ups, is lifted in Gazi Street as of December 30, 2015 as of ?a.m.
“Except for this street, the curfew stands in the other 6 neighbourhoods as the activities carried out by our security forces continue.”
The curfew ongoing since December 2 in six neighborhoods and a street of Sur district had been lifted temporarily for 17 hours on December 11. (AS/DG)
