Curfew has been declared “until further notice” in frontier Çığlı village of Çukurca district in Hakkari, entries and exits to the village have been barred.
The curfew was put into effect as of 12:30 a.m. today (May 4). The curfew was declared to las “until further notice”.
Hakkari Governorship stated that the decision was made as to border crosses due to its frontier location.
Conflict had erupted between Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) members and security forces carrying out mine search near Cığlı village.
Six PKK members and one specialized sergeant lost their lives, and three soldiers wounded in the conflict.
