Curfew has been declared in 21 neighbourhoods in Lice, Hani, Kocaköy and Silvan districts of Diyarbakır.
The reason for the curfew was declared as "preventing any harm of the civilians in accordance with the Provincial Administration Code regulating safety of life and property of the people in the region where the operation was to take place".
In the first announcement made by Diyarbakır Governorate, curfew was declared in Güçlü and Gökçe villages in Lice, Kırım, Gömeç and Yayvan villages in Hani as well as Yazıköy and Şaklat villages in Kocaköy as of December 18, 5 a.m.
In a second announcement, the Governorship has added that curfew was also declared in Kazandağı, Demirkuyu, Taraklı, Darıseven, Kalemli, Toklar, Boğazönü, Dönenkaya, Çalönü, Gürpınar, Ormandışı, Taşpınar, Altınkum neighourhoods of Silvan as of December 18, 6 a.m. until further notice. (EA/DG)
