Diyarbakır Governorship in the statement published on its official website has announced that curfew has been declared in 25 villages of five districts of Diyarbakır.
According to the statement, curfew will be in effect as of 5 a.m. this morning (June 21) in the following villages:
* Yukarıturalı, Akçayurt, Kaledibi and Damlatepe villages in Hani district
* Oyuklu, Kutlu, Türeli, Şenlik, Birlik, Erginköy and Elmadere villages in Lice district
* Dağcılar, Dolaplıdere, Üçbasamak, Çaldere, Keklikdere, Görentepe and Bayırdüzü villages in Silvan district
* Ülgen, Mutluca and Bayırdüzü villages in Hazro district
*Taşköprü, Temren, Bakırköy and Demirli villages in Kulp district.
The reason for the curfew has been announced as “civilians not to get harmed” and it has not been announced when the curfew would end.
Curfew had also been declared in Okurköy, Kırım, Yayvan, Soylu, Gömeç villages in Hani district, Gökçe village in Lice district and Yazıköy and Şaklat villages in Kocaköy district as of 7.30 p.m yesterday (June 20).
Operation
The Governorship has announced that operations would be launched in the following villages;
* The region between Kıllıboğan, Ayaz, Birlik, Abdil, Taşburun, Güzelce and Döşekkaya villages in Lice district
* The region between Bayırdüzü, Tavşantepe, Mutluca and Üçbasamak villages in the rural area in Silvan and Hani districts
* The region between Çağıl-Yazıköy-Soylu and Okurköy villages in Zara region of Hani district
* The region between Kutlu – Oyuklu – Dolaplıdere – Taşköprü – Türeli villages in the rural area of Lice and Silvan villages.
Presidency of General Staff in their statement on their official website had announced that an air supported operation was conducted in Lice on June 18 and five members of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) had been killed (AS/DG)
