Muş Governorship has announced that curfew has been declared in 21 neighbourhoods, villages and plateau regions in Turkey's eastern province of Muş.
Due to a planned military operation, the curfew entered into force at 3:30 a.m this morning (May 11).
The Governorship announcing the curfew stated that an operation would be carried out "by units of Muş Provincial Gendarmerie Command in order to neutralize members of Separatist Terrorist Organization and detect as well as destroy their shelters and storages".
Curfew has been declared in the following regions: Alaniçi, Kayalısu and Yamaç villages, Yılmaz, Örtülü, Büyükler, Dalakulig, Licik, Breş, Malaali, Geliyahacike, Yıldızlı, Buğdaylı neighbourhoods as well as Bilhiddin, Reylim, Pekut, Kazmadağ, Nasırkan, Keranahisk, Zeydo plateaus and Kopezer hill.
The governorship in its statement also announced that some regions were closed to traffic. (YY/DG)
