On Saturday, September 30, a special event will be held at the Sinematek/Sinema Evi, affiliated with the Kadıköy Municipality, to commemorate the life and contributions of journalist, writer, film critic, cinema writer, and radio host Cüneyt Cebenoyan, who passed away on August 3, 2019.
This event will feature a tribute to Cüneyt Cebenoyan, who was recognized as one of Turkey's prominent film critics, through the screening of three films at the Sinematek/Sinema Evi.
The films to be screened include "Kerr," directed by Tayfun Pirselimoğlu, along with "Suna," directed by Çiğdem Sezgin, and "Çatlak," directed by Fikret Reyhan.
Following the film screenings, there will be discussions with the directors of these films, providing audiences with a deeper insight into the cinematic world.
Cüneyt Cebenoyan's program titled "Erguvani İstimbot," where he engaged in conversations about various films with different guests, was broadcast on Açık Radyo between 2014 and 2016. These insightful discussions have been compiled into a book of the same name, recently published by Doğan Kitap.
The proceeds from the book will be donated to the "Cüneyt Cebenoyan Children and Cinema Meetings," benefiting the Bütün Çocuklar Bizim Derneği (All Children Are Ours Association).
