Turkish Airlines (THY) will no longer offer Cumhuriyet newspapers during their flights.
According to an article on Cumhuriyet newspaper, THY sent a letter to the distributor company YAY-SAT, saying that their issues will no longer be allowed on flights operated by Turkish Airlines and they must make their plans accordingly.
Cumhuriyet newspaper stirred a lot of debate in Turkey after releasing the four pages of Charlie Hebdo in Turkish after the attacks in Paris.
On December 21, 2013, THY also decided not to offer Zaman, Today’s Zaman, Bugün and Ortadoğu newspapers to passengers during its flights.
On July 15, 2013, THY also stopped offering Birgün newspaper at the International Departure Terminal of Ataturk Airport. (NV/BM)
