A criminal complaint has been made about Abu Hatem Shaqra, a commander of the Ahrar al-Sharqiya, an organization known for many rights violations, and "war crimes" in Syria.
It was revealed last week after bianet reported, that Shaqra graduated from the Mardin Artuklu University in Turkey this year.
Ayşe Gökkan, the speaker of Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA), an organization of the Kurdish Women's Movement, imprisoned at the Sincan Women's Prison made the criminal complaint.
Gökhan said in her complaint that Ahrar al-Sharqiya is identified as a "war criminal organization" by the United Nations and that Abu Hatem Shaqra, the commander of the organization is responsible for many massacres, including the murder of Kurdish politician Hevrin Xelef.
bianet reported last week that Abu Hatem Shaqra studied Political Science and International Relations at Mardin Artuklu University and that he graduated on June 6.
Mezopotamya Agency reported that Gökhan has named the Artuklu University, the National Intelligence Service (MİT), Hakan Fidan who served as the chief of the service since recently, other MİT officials, and all public officials who have protected such criminals in Turkey in her complaint.
She has also mentioned that the crimes committed by this organizaiton and its supporters constitute grave war crimes and that the prosecutors have to take action against them.
Ahrar al-Sharqiya is charged with the assassination of many civilians in Syria, and most importantly Kurdish politician Hevrin Xelef, the general secretary of the Syria Future Party.
The organization is on the sanction list of the US and Abu Hatem Shaqra is one of the individuals who are on the sanction list.
The office of the United Nations high commissioner for human rights announced in the same period that the organization has committed "war crimes." (FD/PE)
