Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has announced the number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people by provinces from May 1-7, 2021.
According to the updated map, the highest number of cases was observed in İstanbul, Kastamonu, Tekirdağ, Zonguldak, Erzurum.
The figures have shown that the number of cases per 100 thousand people was 359.99 in İstanbul (last week: 532.02), it was 340.08 in Kastamonu (last week: 437.59), 318.48 in Tekirdağ (last week: 489.89), 309.37 in Zonguldak (last week: 332.37), 303.58 in Erzurum (last week: 395.24).
The lowest number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people was seen in Şırnak with 66.89 (last week: 46.12). It was followed by Adana with 61.41 (last week: 106.70), by Mardin with 62.36 (last week: 76.40), by Urfa with 66.89 (last week: 70.25), by Van with 71.95 (last week: 90.75).
As for the most populated cities of Turkey, their weekly numbers of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people were as follows:
İstanbul – 359.99 (last week: 532.02)
Ankara – 247.68 (last week: 361.52)
İzmir – 161.92 (last week: 223.34)
Bursa – 207.97 (last week: 327.35)
Antalya – 131.38 (last week: 200.37)
