The Ministry of Health has announced the number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people by provinces from April 3 to 9, 2021.
In a message shared on Twitter, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca has said, "The mutated virus spreads in the same way, but faster. Restrictions have become imperative. We will win by struggling together."
According to the updated map, the highest number of cases was observed in Kırklareli, İstanbul, Çanakkale, Yalova and Kastamonu.
The figures have shown that the number of cases per 100 thousand people was 882.13 in Kırklareli (last week: 518.33), it was 804.97 in İstanbul (last week: 541.45), 797.34 in Çanakkale (last week: 546.77), 690.82 in Yalova (last week: 564.03) and 653.33 in Kastamonu (last week: 453).
The lowest number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people was seen in Şırnak with 32.17 (last week: 23.43). It was followed by Hakkari with 46.34 (last week: 36.72), by Van with 61.69 (last week: 36.72), by Urfa with 61.84 (last week: 40.70) and by Siirt with 73.70 (last week: 50.74).
As for the most populated cities of Turkey, their weekly numbers of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people were as follows:
İstanbul – 804.97 (last week: 591.45)
Ankara – 419.06 (last week: 272.79)
İzmir – 304.07 (last week: 218.88)
Bursa – 418.37 (last week: 260.43)
Antalya – 270.96 (last week: 190.44)
