The Ministry of Health has announced the number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people by provinces from March 20 to 26, 2021.
According to the updated map, the highest number of cases was observed in Samsun, İstanbul, Yalova, Giresun and Sinop and the lowest number of cases in Şırnak, Siirt, Urfa, Mardin and Van provinces.
The figures have shown that the number of cases per 100 thousand people was 586.84 in Samsun (last week: 508.97), this number was 401.62 in İstanbul (last week: 251.12), 400.65 in Yalova (last week: 275.31), 397.57 in Giresun (last week: 356.35) and 354.80 in Sinop (last week: 309.06).
The lowest number of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people was seen in Şırnak with 13.57 (last week: 8.18). It was followed by Siirt with 22.65 (last week: 14.20), by Urfa with 28.98 (last week: 18.30), by Mardin with 31.24 (last week: 17.08) and by Van with 31.58 (last week: 27.41).
As for the most populated cities of Turkey, their weekly numbers of COVID-19 cases per 100 thousand people were as follows:
İstanbul – 401.62 (last week: 251.12)
Ankara – 184.29 (last week: 107.99)
İzmir – 156.48 (last week: 111.41)
Bursa – 159.68 (last week: 97.14)
Antalya – 143.86 (last week: 119.18)
