Hatay 1st High Criminal Court lifted the media ban on the coverage of Reyhanlı blasts.
A statement released by Turkey's High Council of Radio and Television (RTÜK) reminded that the decision was taken by Reyhanlı Peace Criminal Court on May 11 on all sorts of visual, written or video content concerning the people who were killed or injured after the May 10 twin bombings.
"Hatay 1st High Criminal Court lifted the media ban (file number: 2013/811) on the coverage of Reyhanlı blasts on May 15, 2013. We are ordering authorities to act accordingly."
What happened?
On Saturday Reyhanlı Peace Criminal Court ordered media ban on the coverage of twin bombings that took place on Friday.
Addressing to the criticism by media, government spokesperson Hüseyin Çelik said it was to "avoid bogus news". (EA/BM)
