Council of Higher Education Cancels All Assignments of Academics Abroad

In a declaration sent to all universities, Council of Higher Education (YÖK) has ordered to freeze all assignments of academics (including university rectors) abroad until further notice.

The council demanded immediate examination of the status of all academics assigned to conduct studies abroad to recall those back whose stay is not considered vital.

YÖK has also ordered all universities to identify academic members in connection with the "parallel state structure" and take action against those.(BK/DG)
