ERDOĞAN ON RELEASE OF GÜL, DÜNDAR: DON'T OBEY OR RESPECT THE COURT RULING
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan had said the following as to AYM’s verdict:
“According to me, freedom of the press cannot be limitless. All sorts of attacks against this country’s Prime Minister, President are included in these articles. Some will attack on the President as he/she wishes, and will we be a mere spectator before this? The Constitutional Court may have made a decision about this, I can only remain silent to this decision but I don’t need to accept it. Besides, I neither respect nor abide by this verdict. Because there is a fact that this is a release, not an acquittal. In fact, the court which had ruled about them could have resisted”. (EKN/TK)
