Parliamentary Deputy Speaker Ahmet Aydın has submitted the Constitutional Amendment Draft which has 18 articles to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for assessment.
How does the process continue?
Erdoğan has 15 days to assess the draft.
If he approves it, the draft will be published in the Official Gazette.
Following the publish on the Official Gazette, the referendum will be held on the first Sunday after 60 days.
Depending on the date of publish on the Official Gazette, the referendum could be held on April 9 or 16. Governmental authorities had already mentioned earlier, that the referendum could be held on one of these dates. (AS/DG)
