A parliamentary commission on Health, Family and Social Works approved yesterday a draft law on new regulations regarding occupational health and security.
Highlights from the draft are as follows:
* Occupational physician and work security expert allowed to report fault in written statement
* Occupational physician and work security expert to be protected with a contract
* Contract cancellation right to employers after three written warnings
* Prison sentence to forced work
* Mine companies with accident history to be barred from public biddings for two years
* Social Security Institution will directly impose in case of occupational accidents and other workplace sickness.
* Occupational safety trainings
* Fines rise in workplaces with high danger level
* 10 percent support for 3rd child
* Occupational safety classes in faculties
* Permanent contracts issues in governmental offices
* Incentives to employers reconsidered in case of deathly/serious accidents
* Payments to right owners in Ermenek
* Father leave rises to 5 days
* Area in Ceylanpınar will go through urban renewal
* New inspections on construction companies
* New regulations in lab companies (YY/BM)
