Early this morning, Turkish Armed Forces and PKK have engaged in a series of clashes outside the southeastern border village of Roboski.
According to a statement released by Turkish Armed Forces, a gendarmerie senior sergeant has been slightly injured by a bouncing stone after a PKK-initiated gun fire.
It also added that Cobra Attack Helicopters launched an armed investigation between 12.40 - 1pm local time.
According to Firat News Agency (ANF), scores of Turkish Army soldiers have been deployed to Karaçalı Heights (Kuraçale) early morning and fired their armed against guerrillas on the other side of the border. It claimed that army helicopters fired their bombs during brief clashes between guerrillas and soldiers, which left one soldier injured due to a bomb splinter.
Peace and Democracy Party Şırnak Province officials and villagers were said to depart to the clash zone. (ÇT/BM)
