CHP’s Tezcan: AKP Tries to Make State of Emergency Permanent

Republican People’s Party (CHP) Spokesperson Bülent Tezcan has spoken at the press conference organized with respect to agenda of Central Executive Board (MYK) Meeting.

Tezcan briefly spoke as follows:

“They are putting Turkey under a permanent State of Emergency”

“May nobody believe the lie that State of Emergency (OHAL) was lifted and we will normalize. Turkey is being put under a permanent OHAL.

“This bill needs to be rejected. It contravenes with the Constitution. We are face to face with a draft that increases detention period to 12 days.

“It’s not possible to understand and attribute legitimacy to this order. They are granting governors with authority to close down cities”.

“Erdoğan is responsible for the increase in foreign currency”

“Dollar was 2.9 TL before the OHAL was declared, it is 4.90 now. Chief responsible for this is Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

“OHAL is an issue of employment. The understanding that neglects law dooms the world of labor to slavery order. Five workers per day keep dying in occupational homicides in Turkey”. (EKN/TK)
