Republican People's Party (CHP) İstanbul MP Ali Şeker has brought Mufti of Siirt province Ahmet Altıok's threats against the odaTV news website to parliamentary agenda.

In a parliamentary question he has submitted to Minister of Interior Süleyman Soylu, Şeker has stated that Altıok openly targeted odaTV by referring to the Charlie Hebdo massacre. Şeker has asked the following:
"Has any legal or administrative action been taken against Mufti of Siirt province Ahmet Altıok, who targeted odaTV and openly called for massacre by referring to the Charlie Hebdo massacre?
"If not any legal or administrative action has been taken, is it being waited for some people to take this call as their duty and commit a massacre to take these actions?
"Has any protection been given to odaTV and its employees?"
"Those who celebrate new year are also targeted"
Reminding the massacre in news years' eve 2018 at the Reina nightclub in İstanbul, which left 39 dead, Şeker has said banners which target those who celebrate new year are put up, leaflets are distributed and pressure is increased in schools against new year celebrations all across Turkey.
The CHP MP has asked;
"Has any legal or administrative action been taken regarding the banners, leaflets and statements that target the citizens who celebrate new year?
"What are the measures taken against a possible massacre or attack like the Reina massacre?"
What happened?
Mufti* of the Siirt province Ahmet Altıok has threatened the news website odaTV, reminding the Charlie Hebdo massacre.
In an interview he has given to the İlke News Agency (İLKHA), which is known to be close to the Hizbullah** terrorist group, the Mufti has said,
"Be it the Charlie Hebdo case, or the likes of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf in our prophet's time, those who ridicule Muslims, acting upon some campaigns, perception operations, never got away with what they did.
"I believe that they will be once again convicted in the eyes and hearts of society. I call these gentlemen to apologize. Because you know, repentance before death is accepted." (AÖ/VK)
