CHP Chair Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu’s former Chief Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Gürsul has been detained over “using ByLock”.
Detained by İstanbul Chief Public Prosecution as part of the investigation “Fethullahist Terror Organization/Parallel State Structure (FETÖ/PDY)”, Gürsül allegedly used the encrypted communication software ByLock.
It was stated that a search is being carried out at Gürsul’s apartment in Ankara.
Gürsul was suspended by a Statutory Decree issued in the wake of July 15 coup attempt from his academic duty at university where he used to work.
The statement delivered by CHP Press Coordination said that Gürsul ceased to serve as an active advisor for the CHP following his suspension. (ÇT/TK)
