Child shot during election 'celebrations' dies in hospital

Kübra Çoban, who was struck by a bullet in the head during the post-presidential election celebrations in Urfa, passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.

Mezopotamya Agency reported that Çoban, who was injured during the celebrations held in the Eyyüpnebi neighborhood of Urfa's Eyyübiye district on the evening of May 28, had been in intensive care at Urfa Training and Research Hospital for 120 days. She underwent surgery three times during her treatment. Çoban, who passed away in the hospital yesterday (September 24), will be laid to rest today.

During the same celebrations, 5 people were shot in Urfa, and 14-year-old Emirhan Gergil also lost his life on June 1 while receiving treatment at the hospital. (AS/PE)
